His work for The Vancouver Sun as successor to the late Len Norris constitutes his major contribution to the world of cartooning, but he also appears regularly in McLean's magazine and is an internationally syndicated cartoonist with work appearing in Punch, The Spectator, Time magazine and The New York Times. His cartoons have won numerous citations and international awards, including the Montreal International Salon of Humour Grand Prix. In 1999, he won his seventh National Newspaper Award, the most ever won by any journalist in the 50 years of the awards.
